The band has a lineup of traditional bluegrass instruments and performs many of the bluegrass standards, such as Scrugg's Medley (Foggy mountain breakdown/Earl's Breakdown), blackberry blossom & orange blossom special. However, Seagrass does many original pieces that are influenced from their individual backgrounds in blues. These are the pieces that make the band unique. These tracks use the colours and styles that are found in bluegrass and merge them into a unique sound to blur the boundaries of blues and bluegrass. .
